A player is dead when their Hitpoints (HP) reach zero. A message in the server chat tab indicates this: "<cause of death> killed you".
Upon death the player is transported to a grayscale map and their Corpse is left behind. Items lost on death depend on the player's newbie protection. Death also causes players to lose all unconverted vitamins and 10% of their current Learning points (LP).
